Mr. Bones Story

The Story of Mr. Bones

It was one of those “If I have to explain you wouldn’t understand” road trips. I was on a narrow road somewhere between Cortez and Durango. The sky was getting dark and it started to rain. I was in a hurry to find shelter for the night. I remember crossing the Silver Creek Bridge when I came to a curve in the road. Approaching the curve too fast the bike went into a skid. When it was all over the bike was lying next to a tree and I was lying in the road.

I looked up and saw headlights coming toward me. Not being able to move I felt myself being pulled to the side of the road. I then opened my eyes and looked at the strange man who saved my life. The rain continued to fall and I knew we couldn’t stay there all night. As we patched up the bike he told me his name was Bones.

He had been riding for years when one night on the same curve he was blinded by headlights. Thrown from the bike and left for dead, he woke up and the bike was gone. Now he spends his time looking for his 46’ Panhead and the person who made him what he is today. I thanked him for what he had done and said I would help him on his quest.

Join Mr. Bones on his journey across the country. Each month Monster Bones will keep you updated on Mr. Bones activities and whereabouts.
